Elitsatsningsträff för Disco, Slowdance & Performing arts den 5 februari

Direkt efter SM i Disco, Slowdance och Modernt/ Lyrical den 5 februari, genomförs en Elitsatsningsträff för dansare i Superstar eller Elit i Disco, Slowdance och Performing arts. Det är domaren Jens van Noten som undervisar en dansklass ca kl 18.20 - 20.00, i lokalen som ligger i anslutning till tävlingsarenan.

Om Jens van Noten:

As a kid Jens started out dancing in the small town, where he grew up, in Belgium. This soon led him to dancing throughout his whole time spent in high school. He joined a dance formation team and competed in national and international disco and hip hop competitions. In his last year at high school, Jens auditioned at Fontys Academy of Arts in The Netherlands. There he was accepted to be trained as an allround jazz-urban dancer. The next 4 years he was trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hiphop, afro, contemporary and many more styles. During his time in school, he also got accepted as a contestant/dancer in the tv show 'The Ultimate Dance Battle' (Belgium/The Netherlands)

Once he graduated, Jens immediately worked as a dancer for multiple tv shows such as The Voice, The Masked Singer, Dancing With The Stars, Idols, Got Talent,.. He toured with Belgian artist Loïc Nottet throughout France and Moscow. In Germany, Jens danced for Helene Fischer at the ‘Die Helene Fischer Show’ and ‘Wetten, dass..’ . 

After working as a dancer for the last 8 years, Jens is currently more focussed on choreography. In Belgium he choreographed the Eurovision act for eurosong 2023 contestant Loredana. He also choreographed for the TV-show ‘Come Dance With Me’. 

At his workshops, Jens focusses on applying technique and picking up choreography. For him, the most important thing is that dancers can translate the story of the music and movements. We’re both physical as visual artists. We have the ability to move people, so that’s what we need to master. Jens will give technique phrases as well as choreography.
